About

Who we are, what we do

The Photographer - Anais GanounaRaised in Los Angeles by a big artistic French family, I was always encouraged to see beauty in everyday moments. Expression through art was an essential part of my daily life, starting with after school arts programs. Our Sundays consisted of spending the day in our garage converted studio making paper-maché monsters, clay sculptures, or painting (usually with a chocolate croissant in hand).

At 11 I received my first 35mm camera, a simple point-and-shoot Kodak Advantix camera. By 13 I was carrying a disposable camera in my backpack to be sure never to miss a photo op. At 15 when all of my friends were getting into Acting and Modeling, I got into taking their head shots and comp cards.

In 2004 I moved to Miami to attend the University of Miami. I double majored in Photography and Motion Pictures and minored in Child Psychology. After graduating in 2007, I moved back to LA for a year to work in TV. A year and a half later I had an epiphany, packed my two-door VW and my wiener dog and drove back to Miami to officially open Anaïs Ganouna Photography.

Moving back across the country to open a photography company was not easy, but today I can say that it was the best decision of my life. I love what I do and the people I meet everyday. I am consistently inspired and grateful. I am especially inspired by the children I have photographed. Every child is unique and requires a specific style, which pushes me to try something new every session.

This is not a hobby, this is a deep seeded passion for creating moments you can treasure forever.
